Nedcargo on the world stage of travel retail in Cannes
Last week was all about the TFWA in Cannes, where a Nedcargo delegation was present to meet with existing partners and discuss new collaborations.
Cannes was the center of the global travel retail industry last week during the TFWA 2026 World Exhibition. It is the place where the international elite of the travel retail and spirits sector come together.

The TFWA in Cannes brings together leading international brands, retailers, and other key players from the world of duty-free and travel retail. For Nedcargo, this is the premier venue to meet partners, discuss new collaborations, and showcase the role that logistics—and therefore Nedcargo—plays in this international market. We already support various international spirits brands with a wide range of logistics services.
From our locations in Willebroek, Zoetermeer, and Waddinxveen, among others, excise and customs-approved goods are received, stored, labeled, and ultimately shipped throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa on a daily basis.
You could easily call the TFWA in Cannes the Champions League of the travel retail industry. Almost all major international players are present here. It is great to see the role Nedcargo plays in this dynamic supply chain.. Logistics for the TFWA event itself
Nedcargo also handles the complete logistical delivery for several spirits clients for the TFWA exhibition in Cannes. Large pick orders are prepared, collected, and consolidated from Waddinxveen and Willebroek, after which the portfolio is transported to the exhibition on pallets or roll containers. Afterward, Nedcargo also manages the return process, including all necessary customs and excise documentation. Once the returns arrive, they are added back into the existing inventory. It sounds simple on paper, but because it often involves individual bottles and boxes, it is a complex operation that we at Nedcargo plan, organize, and execute every year.
