Nedcargo replaces part of its trailer fleet

Over the coming weeks, 40 new box trailers will be phased into operation. This is an important step toward a more efficient, safer and more sustainable logistics operation.

Haaften 2026, over the coming weeks, 40 new box trailers will be phased into operation. This is an important step toward a more efficient, safer, and more sustainable logistics operation.

From preparation to a well-considered trailer solution.

Together with partners Krone and Heisterkamp, a trailer has been configured that aligns with daily practice and customer requirements. "For us, it was paramount that the new trailers and their maintenance provide clear added value," says Marten van der Laan, Manager Transport & Fleet Operations at Nedcargo. "Together with Krone and Heisterkamp, we paid close attention to the specifications. The result is a modern trailer that contributes to safety, sustainability, and operational efficiency."

Safety and ease of use in practice

The new Krone box trailers are equipped with features including a lift axle for reduced tire wear and lower fuel consumption, insulated walls and an insulated roof to protect the cargo, and various amenities that enhance ease of use and safety. These include extra LED (work) lighting, contour lighting, a reinforced floor section, scuff rails, and an extra-large, heavy-duty tail lift.

According to Toine van Bladel, Manager Fleet Assets at Nedcargo, the final configuration is the result of intensive collaboration between Krone, Heisterkamp, and service partner Arledo. "We looked together at daily practice, the wishes of our customers, and the experiences of our drivers. As a result, we have developed a trailer that is not only robust but also perfectly suited to our distribution activities."

Advertising partner Rextom Reclame Techniek provided the finishing touch by applying the familiar Nedcargo corporate identity to the trailers.
